through the eyes of a child

How different life must look through the eyes of a child.

The stress of everyday life…the bills, the job, the marriage, the ‘busyness’…  To a child, this must look almost absurd.

Working.

Neglecting.

Bickering.

Complaining.

Grumbling.

Running to and fro.

Never resting.

Down time…what’s that?

Time with God…?

Especially at this time of year, it would seem that looking at the entire Christmas season through the eyes of a child would do all of us a lot of good.  The wonder.  The mystery.  The ‘prettyness’.  The excitement.  The joy.  The laughter.  The simplicity.

Peace.

Hope.

Love.

Receive the Gift.  Unwrap the Gift.  Treasure the Gift.  Share the Gift.

“Let these children alone. Don’t get between them and me. These children are the kingdom’s pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”  ~Luke 18:16-17 (MSG)

Who knows…maybe a new set of eyes will be under the tree with your name on the tag.

Open it, and discover the wonder that awaits.
